Understanding the EU2023-2055 microplastic legislation can be confusing, especially for a product like glitter that contains more than own polymer. In this presentation we will explore how the legislation works in the case of a multipolymer containing product like glitter, where simply being biodegradable is not enough. We will also discuss the derogations, transition periods and labelling requirements associated with the legislation as well as the compliant glitter options that are currently available for the cosmetic market.
