Jacques Margnat grew in Marseilles, graduating in HEC business school in Paris.

Entrepreneur, he made his main career in green chemistry, first in tartaric acid business.

Then, he specialized in olive squalene for the cosmetic and food supplement industries in 1996 with the start-up of SOPHIM.

Managing Sophim since then with his son Alexis, his experience has been multiple during those 25 years, from cosmetics all over the world, oleo chimistry or to be specialist by-products coming from the vegetable oils refining. He is proud of the business model of SOPHIM, a perfect example of circular economy.
