CosmetoriumSynopsis
In this workshop, we will explore the complexities of manufacturing suntan creams and lotions, a process that has become more demanding due to the increasing demand for higher Sun Protection Factors (SPF) and restrictions on the use of certain chemical and physical filters, such as titanium dioxide. We will analyze common issues when using conventional mixers, such as incomplete hydration of thickening agents, formation of agglomerates, and emulsion instability.
The proposed solution focuses on using a Silverson high-shear mixer, which optimizes product quality and reduces processing times. This equipment allows for the complete dispersion of micronized powders and other ingredients into the liquid, ensuring a uniform and stable emulsion. The workshop will cover the key stages of the mixing process and the significant advantages of this approach, including better dispersion of micronized oxides, agglomerate-free mixing, and consistent product quality and repeatability.
Join this workshop to discover how to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the production of your sunscreens through advanced mixing techniques.
