Synopsis

The AGROMATTER project was launched in 2021 under the support and funding of CDTI Cervera with the aim of using the knowledge of extraction and cosmetic processes for the revalorisation of waste and by-products from the agricultural sector. Through the synergy of the technologies and knowledge of the five participating technology centres, extracts have been obtained that provide powerful antioxidant activity to the cosmetic formulations. These extracts are classified as high added-value active ingredients which care about our health and the planet´s health and it responds to consumer demands. As part of the consortium, AITEX provides support by offering solutions to companies in the waste and by-products revaluation, the research of new ingredients and the study of the incorporation of upcycled ingredients in the cosmetic formulations; helping their incorporation into the world of Sustainability and the Circular Economy in an innovative way.
