UV Filters PreciSome®: Nanostructured Lipid Carrier Systems

 

PreciSome® is an encapsulation technology based on Nanostructured Lipid Carriers (NLC) that enhances UV filter performance by embedding them into a structured lipid matrix. This approach improves dispersion and protection of UV absorbers, leading to higher formulation efficiency.

Encapsulation enables high efficacy with lower active content, providing both technical and cost advantages. It also increases formulation flexibility and simplifies processing.

Beauté by Roquette® DS 700 is a multifunctional starch-based ingredient primarily acting as a high-performance film former, designed to enhance water resistance in suncare and makeup.

It can deliver up to 100% water resistance, improving skin adhesion, durability, and SPF retention, outperforming conventional starch-based systems and even some synthetic polymers.

At the same time, this technology serves as the basis for vegan soft capsules, which are biodegradable and customizable (shape, size, color), enabling premium single-dose formats. These capsules help protect sensitive actives and enhance product differentiation and user experience.
