Over recent weeks, together with SEQC, we have been monitoring the impact of Covid-19 on society and particularly our market. This has included:

– Following the progress in terms of Covid Alert Levels and the steps of adjustment taken to social distancing measures.
– Considering measures necessary for delivering events safely post Covid-19.
– Taking into account viewpoints relating to realities and constraints of the industry in term of attending events.

Naturally we have been hoping that Cometorium can take place as normal in October. However, although we can make contingency plans, the health, safety & wellbeing of everyone at Cosmetorium is a significant consideration.

Organising an event with social distancing measures whilst feasible, is impractical. It places significant restrictions on layout of the event, its access and format as well as the flow of attendees around it. Then there are additional considerations relating to stand design and the ability of exhibitors to interact with attendees.

We will know more as this pandemic and our response to it progresses. However, it’s prudent – in the interests of protecting the value that everyone has invested in Cosmetorium – to reschedule the dates to place as much distance as possible between this pandemic and the live event.

Accordingly the dates of Cosmetorium are 20 – 21 October 2021.

In the meantime, conference programmes will be updated/refined in coming months to build on the original planned programme themes, presentations, keynotes etc. Further announcements of new content will be available during 2020.

The pandemic has caused much uncertainty, but we hope that this brings reassurance that the correct decision has been made and we look forward to welcoming you in 2021.
